НЕКОТОРЫЙ and НЕСКОЛЬКО Clear Pronouns

1. The pronoun Некоторый (who) is:

This pronoun is used when referring to a whole, a group, or part of a multitude.

Некоторые туристы посетили музей.	Some of the tourists visited the museum.
Некоторые студенты сдали экзамены.	Some of the students finished their exams.
Я уже прочитал некоторые стихи Пушкина.	I have now read some of Pushkin’s poems.

 

2. The pronoun Несколько (several):

This pronoun indicates uncertainty in terms of numbers. The enumerable nouns that come after this pronoun -IN STATE is used in the plural. It itself is drawn in the plural form of adjectives.

У меня несколько книг.	I have a few books.
Наш учитель знает несколько иностранных языков.	Our teacher speaks several foreign languages.
Учитель говорил о нескольких студентах.	The teacher was talking about a few female students.
